In 1997, I was on my way home from taking care of business on the city bus and was making my way to the corner to cross the crosswalk to get to my apartment on the other side of the street and the car came out of nowhere. When the car hit on my right hip and right knee it pushed it toward my left knee. I was out of commission for the next six months and two years and after going to the junior college and taking classes, I decided going to the junior college just was not for me and getting to expensive after fees and the cost of the textbooks, some of the classes had from one to three books.
After the accident I decided that I had to find something that I can do sitting instead of standing. On January of 2009, I enrolled at the Institute of Technology for Medical Coding and Billing program and will be done on October 22. With me finishing the program, I will know medical terminology, typing and ten-key. My teacher thought I would be good at medical transcription because I like to type and am so good at medical terminology. The reason why I wanted to become a medical transcriptionist is that you can get a job in a hospital, work at a doctor̢۪s office, transcribe for a transcription company, work from home or start your own business at home. There are so many jobs in the medical industry like medical coding and billing jobs, work at home medical transcription jobs, and medical record jobs. The advantages of working in the MT industry are that you have the flexibility of working in an office or work from home so you can spend time with the family and friends. SN:0TG9Y2ESY
The one reason why I was interest of training with Future MT is you can train at your own and with the help of others if you need help. The second reason is that you can work around your own schedule if you were working, grocery shopping and paying your bills. My career goals I would like to see for myself achieve in the MT industry in the next few years is to receive an MT education and finish in a year, and then study for my state certification test and find employment as an MT, I know I will be very good at this kind of work and hope to build my typing speed up to 75wpm., it will take time and patients but it will happen with work and practice. The more practice you type the faster you will become, that is what I was always told and I know it is true. In ten years, I hope to be still doing medical transcription hopefully here in Modesto, California or somewhere in southern California like Los Angeles, Anaheim, Calif. or San Diego. I have already found a company in Los Angeles that you can work at home, set you up with the equipment if you do not have them and set you up with accounts. Here in Modesto, I found one job that you have to type 75wpm. For more information, visit www.MTRecruiters.com
